Established in 1999 by Bill Addiss, Amherst Financial Training (AFT) has provided capital markets and financial training to institutions worldwide. Deutshe Bank, FINRA, NASD, Reuters, Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Barclays Global Investors, and Lehman Bros, have all taken advantage of AFT’s expertise in capital markets training for their employees

Keeping abreast of the constant development of new products, and tools in the marketplace is a challenge. I.T.professionals, Customer support staff,  credit analysts and traditional “middle and back office” personnel  all need to understand the products and marketplace in which they operate. AFT has  successfully developed programs targeted to these professionals.

NY Institute of Finance Professional Bio: William Addiss

William has over 30 years of management experience in the finance industry. He has designed and delivered courses in capital markets, fixed income and derivative instruments. He has also delivered introduction to finance courses for non-financial professionals and graduate induction programs.

Currently: The principal/owner of Amherst Financial Trading, William develops and facilitates training programs in fixed income, derivatives and capital markets targeted to banks, broker/dealers, regulatory authorities and asset management firms. These include Deutsche Bank, Citibank, Kuwait Investment Authority, the SEC and FINRA.

In the Past: As a managing director/executive vice president for Lehman Brothers, he was responsible for marketing, trading and distribution of fixed income securities. He had been national sales manager and developed and implemented sales and business plans in fixed income. For E.F. Hutton he was a national product manager for taxable fixed income and a commodity sales specialist. He has lectured at the Wharton/Aresty Institute and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
